This is a web application that can be used by anyone in order to view the power company’s customers and also manage their account. All of the information is stored on a secure server, so no personal information ever leaves your home computer.
Some features include: real-time meter readings, easy-to-read graphs for usage and billing, live updating during outage times, more control over your usage allowances.
What exactly is WPC2025?
WPC2025 is actually a web based control panel for the Washington Public Power District (WPUD). It’s also been known as WISEST (WPC2025 Interactive Service System & Electric Storm Relay) but this name has caused some confusion in some regions. It’s been used since 2002 and is now maintained by Millennium Signals, who have developed many other useful utilities for the PUD.
The service is free except for a small monthly fee. WPC2025 allows people to monitor the power usage of their accounts, even if they are unable to access the home or business at times or choose not to receive paper billing notices.
What do you have to participate in?
There are 4 steps you have to go through. In order to use the service, you must be on the Premium Service Plan (or higher), which includes Energy Management, Data Collection, and a new Smart Meters.
The first step is [to register| register ] with your PUD address and phone number so that you can receive notices about any changes in service or billing for your account. Once registered, you will be sent a PIN that is required to access the WPC2025 control panel from any computer (including home computers).
What are the benefits of participating?
Some of the benefits are: being able to check your power usage from any computer, check the power outages anywhere you may have access to an internet connection (including your cell phone), receive immediate notice when any unusual conditions occur on your account, view a month-by-month history of how you use power or water.
