The Beginner’s Introduction to Quranic Arabic
This course is designed to be an introduction to Quranic Arabic, a simplified and modernized version of Classical Arabic. One of the things that make Quranic Arabic different from Classical Arabic is that it does not have any verb conjugations and, in many cases, fewer vowel markings. The goal of this course is for you to be able to read and write Arabic in a way that’s easier for you to understand. It will also teach you how to pronounce words correctly.
The 5 Pillars of Successful Quranic Learning
The five pillars of successful Quranic learning are 1) Memorization, 2) Understanding, 3) Recitation, 4) Seerah/Tafseer (Interpretation), and 5) Purification. What is a ‘Qurrah’?
A Qurrah is a verse of the Quran and is typically shorter than a Juz. The Qurrah can be written in both Arabic as well as other languages. A Qurrah is sometimes also called an Ayah which means sign or miracle. There are 114 Qurrahs in total and each one is named after something found in nature, such as animals or plants.

How To Understand The Holy Quran
The Holy Quran is the most widely read and highly respected book in the world. It is a living miracle, without parallel in human history. We may never know who actually wrote it. What we do know is that its words were revealed over a period of twenty-three years to the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, through Angel Gabriel. The first five verses of the Holy Quran are called its ‘opening’ or ‘verse of grace’ and they contain some of its greatest teachings:
1) Read! In the Name of your Lord Who created – created man from a clot! Read! And your Lord is Most Generous – He Who taught by means of pen!
