What is IF (Intermittent Fasting)?

What is the Difference Between TRE (Time Restricted Eating) and IF (Intermittent Fasting)?

Maximum people are confused by not knowing the difference between intermittent fasting and time-restricted eating, and there is a massive difference between these two types.

Time Restricted Eating (TRE):

Time-restricted eating defines the meaning it means one can eat daily, but there will be a set of hours to eat, and then you have to do fasting for the other group of hours. Several schedules are included in the time-restricted eating; they are as follows:

  • There is a 16:8 eating schedule; here, you have to do fasting for 16 hours and eat in the remaining 8 hours of the day.
  • Another ratio for the TRE schedule is 12:12; here, you have to do fasting for 12 hours and should eat in the remaining 12 hours.
  • Irrespective of the ratio, you have to eat only during the daytime. You can start eating when the sun rises and should stop when the sun sets.
  • Another schedule is that you should not eat after a set of times at night; it can be after 6:00 PM or 8:00 PM.
  • The final schedule for this time-restricted eating is that you have to eat only during the mealtimes, like eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and have to do fasting in the middle hours of mealtime. One should not take any snacks from one meal to another.

So, comparatively, Time Restricted Eating is the best option rather than Intermittent Fasting for weight loss. Anyhow, TRE can benefit your health rather than spoil your health. If you consider some schedules, they will work well for your body.

For example, consuming food for a particular period daily is a good sign for your body to stay healthy. Avoiding eating food during midnights is also very helpful for weight loss. 

Everyone has to remember that several things have been involved in losing weight. One should follow a proper diet and sleep timings and do some physical exercises daily without fail. And, based on all these aspects, you can achieve excellent results at the earliest you expect.
