Have you ever heard about a famous singer of olden times, Ángela Peralta? She was born in Mexico City, Mexico. She had a great interest in music, and her talent has been enhanced since then. Furthermore, she used to form a solo cavatina from the opera Belisario at 8.
Her operatic skills improved with time, and she made her operatic debut at 15 at the Teatro Nacional (Mexico’s premier opera house). In addition, Peralta got known due to her high pitch range and incredibly timbre voice.

Her tour made her famous, and then she became known as Mexican Nightingale. Moreover, when she was 20 years old, she was invited by the Second Mexican Empire to sing in the National imperial theater. Peralta returned to Europe in 1965. During her return, she made several stops and performed in some major cities, including Havana and NYC. When she arrived in Madrid, she chose to marry her cousin Eugenio Castera.

Peralta’s Personal life
Peralta’s husband died in 1877, and she formed her relationship with her manager Julián Montiel y Duarte. However, people were not happy with the scandal, and she had to face criticism. People tried their level best to pull her leg. However, the public also hired hecklers to intervene in her shows. This all happened in Mexico. Finally, she got to bring back her lost reputation, and since then, she has never performed in Mexico.
In 1883, Peralta went on a tour in northern Mexico. She, along with her 76 fellows, fell ill with yellow fever at her arrival in Mazatlán. She was on her deathbed for quite some time and married her long-loving boyfriend on the same bed.
Although she couldn’t do anything else rather than nod her head. Eventually, she died after fighting the disease at the age of 38. Moreover, after 50 years of her death, her remains were moved from Mazatlán to Mexico City.
